OK, so I DON"T sew. To tell you the truth, I have never even had a desire until I had kids. There are so many fun little projects you can make for your kids, that I don't really think take a whole lot of skill, but I have always had zero skill in that department. In fact, I have always kindof dumped my sewing projects on my poor sweet mother-in-law who whips them out in no time. Anyway, so Paige always find the ribbons, strings or tags on everything...and sucks on them. So, one night I found these cute ribby blankets for sale on KSL.com. I thought it can't be that hard to make. Tonight, I was up for the challenge!!! So, I pulled out my 6 year old brand new sewing machine, pulled out the owners manual so I could know how to thread the dang thing and away I went. Now, remember I am not a seamstress, and usually don't like to brag about things I have done...but folks, I am bragging!!! I am so proud of my little blanky, and the best part is I handed it to Paige when I was finished and she wouldn't let go of it the rest of the night. If she would drop it she would scream until someone gave it to her. Don't mind the slobber on it, but I was so proud of it I had to show it off. Also, of course Rylee wanted to get in on project night, so here is her creation as well. She "designed" it all by herself, and I sewed the stuff on for her. She is very proud of it and wanted in a very special place before she went to bed. I am sure you can't read her sign, but she so proudly wrote, "I Made It!" We had a great time projecting tonight!! P.S. Sorry about the double picture of my blanky, I couldn't figure out how to delete one after I uploaded them. Oh well!!!
