Mr MaNNers????

So, one more funny about Mr. Cade, and then I will finish. The kids were just eating lunch and Rylee was chatting (of course) with food in her mouth. Cade politely says, "Wylee, in my church class, (obviously a while back...since he now is on the Elder's Quorum rolls) we learned that you have to close your mouth when you eat, so you don't spill crumbs out." I said, "Yup, you are right Caders...and it is good manners." He asks, "What is good manners?" I tell him that nobody wants to see his food, and so that is good manners to keep his mouth closed. He smiled and said, "ok." He continues to eat for a second, and then he says, "I just farted!" and starts laughing his head off! Oh well, I guess we will teach one good manner at a time. Next on the list...Farting!

Hair Style...Cade Style

Lately Mr. Cade loves to do his own hair. It results in LOTS of gel, LOTS of hair spray, LOTS of blow drying, LOTS of combing, and LOTS of time. So, as you can imagine...I don't allow him to do it too often, but this day I did. I even took play-by-play pictures because it is seriously the funniest thing to watch. He is very serious about the style! So, here goes the gel.

Smearing of LOTS and LOTS of gel.
A little blow drying. This process is actually repeated 2 or 3 times, and I forgot to put the pictures of him combing...which lasts for a very long time!

He seems to be happy with the final product...and now without further ado, the unveiling of the "DO".

I love how he is so good to pose...and we especially like the flap in the back this particular day. He thinks it looks good to comb from the bottom up, to make it a little puffy and give it a little body. The kid cracks me up so many times during the day with the things he does and says...I just love him!

Soggy Tradition

We have made it our tradition to go to Lagoon every year with our good friends Merrill and Jill. This year was no exception. Bart's schedule for June was really crazy...so the days we could actually go were very limited. The day we originally planned...uh, they weren't opened yet. So, we tried again. Well, the forecast looked grim, but our thoughts were...1) There wouldn't be very many people, 2) It very rarely rains all day in Utah, and 3) It will be nice and cool! We decided to go anyway. We got there around 11:00 am, it was nice for oh...about 1 hour and then it hit! Woooohh baby! We all pulled out our dollar store ponchos (except Bart who was too cool, and brought his full golf rain gear), and hung out for a bit. Well, it just kept dumping. So, we just had to go and ride.

Cade and Bart...a break from rain.
At first, the kids thought the rain was way cool...that didn't last too long!

The kid crew on Puff. They rode this about 25 times in a row. As you can see, our one theory of not too many people there was spot on! They rode whatever they wanted however many times they wanted!

It was a great day...even though it ended a little earlier than our normal day at Lagoon, which Bart was very happy about!

Some Ball, a little Dance, and a Graduate!

Just for your viewing pleasure...because she is soooo stinkin' cute!
Another...just because.

Look who is crawling...Miss Paigey Mae!!! She is turning into a monster, but we don't care because she is sooo stinkin' cute!

My Graduate! On to 1st grade, full days of school, school lunch, and more recesses!!!

Rylee's friend, Ashley, that lives across the street. They have been afternoon kindergartners together, and now they are moving on to 1st grade together...even the same teacher.

The 3 Amigos! Rylee's friends on the last day of school...Shalee, Amy and Ry.

Her last breakfast as a kindergartner...how cool of a mom and I? She wanted Diet Coke and a marshmallow brownie. Aahhh, what the hay...you only have one last day of kindergarten, right?

Her BFF's in our neighborhood, who have all done dance together for the past year and a half. Shalee, Alyson, Amy, Macey, Kynlee and Ry.

Same girlies with their teacher, Morgan Willis.

Cade playing ball with his hands in his pockets. COOL!

Hey batta batta...S-W-I-N-G! He is actually pretty good. He makes Bart pitch to him in the backyard every night when Bart gets home from work.

So a lot has been going on around here...but, I am not a very good blogger! Not that anyone cares...but, here is a few things that have been going on and keeping us busy. We signed Cade up for Itty Bitty Baseball, and let's just say the dude has some separation issues. We walk in the gym on his first day, Rylee and I are in the same gym sitting on the bleachers. Cade has a complete meltdown 15 minutes in because he "missed his mommy." Ummm, hello...I was sitting 20 feet away!!! Anyway, we delt with this everytime time until the 2nd to last day. SwEet!!! For this reason, I am not really looking forward to swim lessons that start in a few weeks. Aaarrrggghhhh! He ended up really liking it (when it was all over :)!) Rylee has been taking dance now for about 1.5 years. She has really loved it and it has been good for her. Ever since I burned her out on gymnastics, I wanted her to do something that would be fun for her and keep her active. I must say she is a pretty good little dancer. She can really boogy! She had her final recital the end of May. Her teacher was a girl in our neighborhood named Morgan...she is getting more busy with school, drill team, etc. and decided teaching dance was too much for her. So, once again I need to get her into something! And finally...my little kindergartner has graduated to the big time...a FULL day of school! WOWSERS! I can't believe she is getting so big. She is such a good girl and absolutely loves school. I think the only thing she is worried about (and I am worried about as well) with first grade, is eating school lunch. Her last day was last Friday...which she only went from 8:30 - 10:15. So, when she left...me, Cade and Paigey jumped in the van and headed off to Target to get her a little graduation gift. We got her a Littlest Pet Shop, a Junie B. Jones book (which she read in a couple of hours with her cousin Toby...and they laughed their guts out the whole time they read. Darling book!), some treats, and a cute balloon. She was so excited when she saw it all! We are so proud of you Ry...I will stop writing about it now, because it is bringing a tear to my eye!!! Anyway, there is our life in a nutshell for the past few weeks!

I Love To See The Temple

We had a primary activity a couple of weeks ago where we went to the Temple and learned all about it, and what the kids need to do to prepare to go their someday.

Here is Ry and Cade with a few of their friends from the neighborhood.

Of course Cade wouldn't smile for me normal...this is the best I could get. What a goofball!

Sweet Ry!
